- 200g apples
- 20g butter
- 1 Alheira de Mirandela sausage
- 3 cl Balsamic Vinegar
- some Honey Nº 88 Fire by Beesweet
- some black pepper
First cut the apples into wedges and put them aside for later.
Remove the “skin” of the “Alheira” sausage and fry it in butter. Take the mass out of the pan and let it cool down until you are able to hand form patties into the size and shape of fish cakes. Place the patties on a platter and bake them for about 3 minutes at 160°C in a pre-heated oven.
Heat up the pan with the remaining delicious source and oil from the “Alheira”. Add the apple wedges and fry them until golden brown. Reduce the heat of the pan and drizzle some of the Honey Nº 88 Fire by Beesweet over the apples. Caramelize them for a short while. Take the pan off the stove.
Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small sauce pan and add a bit of the honey. Bring the souce to boil and let it reduce for a while at low heat.
Create a bed of the caramelized apples on a plate and place two of the “Alheira” patties on top. Finally drizzle some of the balsamic vinegar reduction over the dish in a decorative way.
Ready to serve.
